The new range of Hayter Osprey petrol lawnmowers have been specially designed for use on British lawns. Their 46cm (18”) cutting width is perfect for small to medium sized fine or informal gardens and the premium design from well-known UK brand Hayter is one you can trust.
The Hayter Osprey 46 611 is the self-propelled model, and offers functional three in one cutting capabilities which will allow users to cut in a variety of conditions and to manage lawns of different lengths. There are seven different cutting heights to choose from, from 25mm to 70mm to suit the time of year and your preferred grass length. These are controlled by a single lever on the side of the mower near the rear wheel for ultimate convenience. The most familiar function, and the one which you’re likely to use most often, is cut and collect. With a sizable 55-litre grass collector which can be lifted through the handlebars easily and features a wide opening so it can be quickly emptied, you’ll find that cutting and collecting with your new Osprey mower makes quick work of your fine lawn.
You can avoid using the grass bag altogether by opting for the built in mulching or rear discharge options. Mulching is a process by which the blades of grass are finely chopped, so the clippings can be redistributed into the lawn to help hold in moisture and lock in nutrients. Rear discharge is useful for longer grass, as it saves time on emptying collection bags.
The self-propelled Osprey is powered by a 140cc Briggs & Stratton 500-E series engine, to ensure long, reliable life. The single speed autodrive transmission takes all the effort out of mowing your lawn, and can help make light work of bigger gardens. The wheels feature ball bearings in the wheels which provides smooth running during use. Both Hayter Osprey models come complete with a 2 year manufacturer’s warranty (subject to annual service by an authorised Hayter dealer), or a 30 day warranty for professional use.
After you’ve mowed your lawn, simply attach a hose pipe to the Easy-Wash link up on the deck, and you can clean away clippings from the underside of your Osprey quickly and easily. Keeping the underside of your lawnmower clean helps maintain performance levels, as well as preventing you spreading grass clippings around your shed.
