Fuel injection
Stihl have developed the worlds first Chainsaw that has electronically controlled fuel injection. This determines the optimum ignition and fuel injection values for each operation, engine tuning is a thing of the past, no need for a carburettor or manual settings, fully automatic engine tuning to allow optimized power in all tasks.
The MS500i chainsaw has the best power to weight ratio and ideal for heavy wood harvesting, due to its excellent acceleration, weight and concept. The design is compact with built in sensors and engine mapping allowing the best performance at all times under all use conditions.
The HD2 filter on the machine is a finely pored filter material which keeps very fine dust and dirt away from the engine, to clean it, just remove and spray it will Stihl Varioclean and wash it out with warm water, then when its dry its ready for use again and to make filling and lubricating the chainsaw easy it has a tool free fuel cap.
