Easy starting & intelligent engine
Thanks to a decompression valve, the force needed to pull the starter rope is reduced, as is the compression pressure. This model also uses STIHL’s ElastoStart, which reduces the shock caused by the compression of the engine, making the machine more comfortable to get started. Because of the intelligent engine management system M-Tronic, only one start position is needed on the combi lever and you can apply full throttle immediately, even from a cold start. This M-Tronic system also ensures consistent engine performance, a constant maximum speed and superb acceleration, making manual carburettor adjustments unnecessary.
Powerful & robust
Advanced combustion technology results in lower fuel consumption and high torque across a broad rpm range, while a compensator in the carburettor keeps the fuel/air ratio in the combustion mixture and also the engine power constant. A pre-separation air filtration system helps this model to achieve perceptibly longer filter life compared with conventional systems by separating larger, heavier particles, and the Ematic chain lubrication system offers maximum lubrication along with longer wear and less oil consumption.
Comfortable, simple operation
With M-Tronic handling the complexities of engine management, you can concentrate on working the machine. Anti-vibration technology ensures you can use the tool for longer periods without suffering from fatigue, with the engine’s oscillations dampened and vibrations significantly reduced. Tool free filler caps on the oil and fuel tanks can be easily opened and locked, while the saw’s chain tensioner is located on the side of the machine so you avoid touching the sharp saw blade.
